The Automatic Litter Box Pro is exclusive to FurryTail and is specially designed for use in multi-cat households. We collaborated with the manufacturer in the design of the product to ensure that it is safe, easy-to-use, accessible for all cats, and can distinguish between cats for accurate health monitoring. Just replace the waste bag every 5 days and periodically provide a deep clean and refresh the litter. As with all FurryTail products, our Feline Focus Group cats have tested the product and they gave it a tail up with a kink!
The app provides real-time cat toilet data for accurate health monitoring. The weight sensor can distinguish between cats with a weight difference of 100g. The sensor tracks the length of time spent in the litter box. The app stores daily, weekly, and annual statistics for each cat. Fluctuations in their weight and litter box routine can provide valuable information regarding your cat’s urinary and digestive health. The app also has push notifications for the sensors and you can adjust the ambient light through the app. There is also a handy reminder feature to empty the waste bin. If you decide against using the automatic clean, you can schedule or run a clean cycle from the app.
FurryTail’s Automatic Litter Box Pro has a number of safety features with redundancy protectors to keep your cat 100% safe. 1. Radar Proximity Sensors - alerts when there is something within 32 inches and will pause the cleaning cycle. 2. Weight Sensors - In addition to being able to distinguish between cats, this sensor will also pause the cleaning cycle when there is a cat inside or on top of the litter box. 3. Hall Grating Sensors - If the machine is not installed properly, a notification will be displayed on the machine’s screen and pushed through the app. 4. Anti-Pinch Motor - When the motor detects an obstruction or resistance, it will stop operation and notifications will be displayed on the machine’s screen and pushed through the app.
The machine does not use batteries. It needs to be plugged in to operate. During a power outage, it will still be available for cats to use but it will be unable to provide cleaning operations. Once power is restored, we recommend doing a manual clean.
The litter box comes pre-assembled. Before use, you will need to add a bag to the waste receptacle and add litter up to the fill line. Once you plug in the unit and download the app you should be good to go!
We recommend using our custom waste bags as they provide a perfect fit and can be more cost-effective than regular trash bags. However, you can use any bags sized 50x60 cm that can hold 1 gallon.
The Automatic Litter Box Pro was designed to be quick and easy to empty and replace the waste bags. When standing, bend down to open the compartment. Remove the scent shield and remove the used bag. To add a new bag, place it into the compartment and add the scent shield on top. Since you don’t need to touch the used litter, it makes disposal more sanitary. We suggest replacing the waste bag every 5 days, but it may need to be replaced more frequently depending on the number of cats using the litter box.
While we do offer cat litter made specifically for the Automatic Litter Box Pro, we know how some cats can be picky regarding their choice of litter. Feel free to keep using your regular clumping litter - unless you are currently using pine cat litter.
Due to the fact that the litter box can be cleaned automatically after every visit, it can be used by an unlimited number of cats, but only one cat can use the litter box at a time. Now you no longer need to maintain the 1 litter box per cat, plus one standard. With a clean litter box 24/7, multi-cat households only need one Automatic Litter Box Pro. For houses with a lot of levels, we recommend purchasing more than one, or having a traditional litter box so your cats have ready access to a litter box. Please keep in mind that if there are a large number of cats using it, you may need to empty and replace the waste bag more frequently.
Place the Automatic Litter Box Pro in the same location as their old litter box. It may take a few days up to a few weeks for a cat to adapt to a new litter box. To help them get used to it, some people suggest adding some poop or a clump of their urine to the new litter box. If you have an anxious cat, we suggest starting by turning off the automatic cleaning function and instead do a manual clean after the cat has left the room. Gradually adjust the time so that the cat gets used to the cleaning function.
FurryTail’s Automatic Litter Box Pro operates quietly. At only 40 dB, it is classified as a soft sound appropriate for use even in a library setting.
We have designed the Automatic Litter Box Pro to be easy-to-clean. You can wipe the outside with a damp cloth. To empty the litter, first put a new waste bag in the waste bin. Then, use the button to dump the used litter. You can either choose to replenish with fresh litter or remove the drum and give it a deep clean with water. We have detailed cleaning videos online at furrytail.com that walk you through the process.
The answer will depend on the type of litter you are using. If you are using our official litter, we recommend dumping and replenishing the litter every 2-3 weeks. In some situations, you may need to add more litter to compensate for used litter. Make sure that the litter doesn’t exceed the ‘Fill’ line.
The ambient light can be adjusted through either the screen on the unit or through the app.
The Automatic Litter Box Pro is safe for cats older than 4 months and cats that weigh between 3 - 22 lbs.
The litter box can hold up to 11 lbs of bentonite litter or 7.7 lbs mixed cat litter, or 6.6 lbs of tofu cat litter.
